A Bespoke Design Journey With AtelierNM/Homes One Interiors

A refined interior design experience, crafted around your vision, lifestyle, and the character of each space.

Chelsea is arguably one of the most desirable places to live in London.  So when interior design atelier AtelierNM/Homes One were tasked with furnishing two modern residential projects – two apartments – within the area they were keen to take a bold approach, ensuring that the properties would stand out within the marketplace through the incorporation of exquisite bespoke furniture and distinctive styling.

Having collaborated on previous projects with us, the AtelierNM/Homes One team involved Kassavello in the modern residential project at a very early stage to determine the scope and possibilities for a variety of branded items and bespoke furniture.  Not only were the aims of the project high but as with so many similar projects there was a strict timeline to adhere to and a budget to comply with.  Facilitating early conversations ensured that the AtelierNM/Homes One design team could keep on track creatively whilst making practical decisions regarding all elements of FF&E that would meet with budget and expectations.

Conceptual design

AtelierNM/Homes One are proud of their bold and innovative approach to colour and whilst the client was keen on a light neutral palette for many key pieces, he was also very open to the inclusion of striking hues through rugs, accessories, and artwork to create a truly unique scheme that would set the properties apart from others in the area.

The concept for the first apartment was inspired by the revival of England’s craftsmanship and manufacturing heritage, exquisite pieces of hand-crafted furniture and detailing would be combined with accents of cerulean blues, chill reds and mustard golds to create a dynamic and elegant space.

Grand opulent and opulent overtones inspired by the regal associations of Chelsea sit at the heart of the concept for the adjacent apartment.  A neutral base is brought to life with accents of emerald green and soft dusty pinks whilst exquisite natural materials such as Nero Marquina marble, brushed brass, and ashwood add textural beauty.

Grounding the spaces through bold rugs

The living spaces in each apartment were grounded by two spectacular Rug Society rugs – the Heron and the Bauhau both available via Kassavello’s portfolio of brands.  Incorporating bold hues inspired by the conceptual designs, the rugs formed the starting point for layering of fabrics and color across each of the rooms which complemented the bespoke and branded furniture, many of which were supplied by Kassavello.

Commissioning Bespoke Items

The AtelierNM/Homes One team had a very defined vision which included commissioning a range of bespoke pieces influenced by leading interior trends.  Taking inspiration from curvilinear shapes and geometric angles, Kassavello and AtelierNM/Homes One collaborated on both the technical and aesthetic detailing of each piece.  From initial sketches, to material selection and technical drawings, each detail was discussed and debated with Kassavello’s team of expert artisans before going into production.  One of the most distinctive pieces produced was an angular dining table with an exquisite veneer pattern that beautifully enhanced the unique design.

The art of display balanced with budget

Accessorising was key to the success of the project, enabling potential clients to envisage themselves within a more personalized space.  To facilitate the display of vases, books, sculptures, and artwork sourced by the AtelierNM/Homes One team there were a number of consoles, tables, and plinths included within the scheme.  Utilizing the expertise of our team of craftspeople together with the design vision of AtelierNM/Homes One we strove to make subtle changes to some of the original designs, either through material finish or structure to ensure that budgets were met whilst the overall look and feel of the scheme were not unduly compromised.  We adore the combination of rich wood, brass detailing, and styling across these pieces.
